On July 11, 2009, fifteen Boy Scouts of the Pushmataha Area Council sealed their membership in Watonala Lodge 169 of the Order of the Arrow. To be a member of the Order, a Scout must have at least First Class rank, have camped at least 15 nights in the last two years, including one long-term camp, and be elected as an Honor Scout by his peers in his Boy Scout troop. Members of the Order of the Arrow pledge themselves to a life of cheerful service to others, and commit themselves to serving others individually and through lodge activities. |
