Conclave 2009 was FANTASTIC!!!!!  Watonala Lodge was represented by 21 of its members and we all had a great time.  We won 1st Place in the Founders Festival and 1st Place in the Totem Pole Competition.  I want to personally thank Charles Guyton for the EXCELLENT carving of out own Watonala Bird.  Founders Festival was a great success and thank you, Mark Guyton for bringing your collection.  Ben Chambers did an excellent job running the booth.  Jeff and Justin Miller and Jimmy Ball did a great job helping with the Native American Events, but we were all disappointed that the conclave did not have a NA Events Competition.

I am very pleased to say we had 21% of our lodge at conclave, more than any other lodge.

Thank you to all of the members who helped make Conclave a SUCCESS!!!!

Lodge ChiefTo all of the lodge members of Watonala Lodge, April 17 will be here in a short amount of time, and I am trilled to say that we will have 29 of our members go and represent our lodge at SR-1B Section Conclave in Florida. As Lodge Chief, I want to inform you of what we, the LEC and the other leaders in the lodge are doing, to benefit yourself.

Pre-Camp Ordeal is set for May 15-17 at our lovely Camp Seminole. If you are a newly called out member, you should be receiving an email and a letter in the mail about this event.

If you happen to be an Ordeal Member wishing to seek your Brotherhood, this ordeal weekend is the perfect chance to receive your Brotherhood. Don't wait, because now is the perfect time to get your Brotherhood.

May 16th is Camp Workday, so if you are able bodied, you should come out to camp and help the lodge set up camp. This will only benefit you if you are going to camp this summer.

I look forward to seeing you Friday, April 17th and then again on May 15th.

The dates for this conference will be August 1-6. The fee is $395 and is due by May 25th. A $100 deposit is due by March 25th and that is non refundable.
