1. To begin your online training, use this link to go to the training site.

2. If it's your first time to use online training, create your personal account. (The link is in the yellow box to the right, and says "New to MyScouting? Click here to create an account."

3. Fill in your name, email, and address, and at the bottom of the page, choose "Pushmataha Area Council, COLUMBUS, MS #691" and fill in your Member ID.  Your Member ID is bottom center on your BSA registration card.  

4. Be sure to click "Save". 

COMPLETE YOUR TRAINING WITH LIVE TRAINING

Online training is just the beginning of your training.  It helps you the "hit the ground running", but for many Scouter jobs, there's also some basic training that you''' need to complete. The basic training sessions offered by our council are outlined below.

TIGER LEADER TRAINING

Tiger Leader specific training prepares the new Tiger Leader for starting the new Tigers (and the Tiger parents) off on the right foot.  Preparations, planning, meetings, advancements, the Scouting year, uniforming, and many other aspects of Tiger Cubs will be presented.  This session will be held at Camp Seminole.

Lunch and materials will be provided.  Before attending this session, Tiger Leaders should read the Tiger Cub Handbook before attending this training.  Cost per session is $15.00.  To register for this session, contact Lori at the Council Office, 662-328-7228, or Melanie Greene, Cub Training Facilitator, at 662-323-7758. CUB LEADER TRAINING

This training covers leader-specific aspects of the Wolf, Bear, and Webelo program. Lunch and materials are provided, to register, contact the Council Office at 662-328-7228,  or Melanie Greene, Cub Training Facilitator, at 662-323-7758.  Cost is $15. BOY SCOUT BASIC LEADER TRAINING
Boy Scout Basic Leader Training is done during one weekend, from 6:00 PM Friday until 5:00 PM Sunday.  Training covers Scoutmaster Fundamentals, and Outdoor Leader Training (OLT). 

The cost for the training is $60.  This includes all meals, and all materials.

VENTURE CREW TRAINING
Venture Crew Adviser Training is a new offering in the council.  As training sessions are offered, they will be added to the council calendar, and announced at Roundtable.  To request a Venture Crew training session, contact the council office at 662-328-7228.  The Venture Crew Training Director/Facilitator is Michelle Williams.   

UNIT COMMISSIONER TRAINING
Unit Commissioner Training is another new offering in the council.  As training sessions are scheduled, they will be placed on the online council calendar, and announced at Rountable.  Unit Commissioner Training Facilitator is Brice Stubbs.
