Pushmataha Area Council has been using the same standard shoulder strip since the introduction of this type of patch in the late 1970's. The shoulder strip is primarily for council identification, however, they are also issued in limited commemorative editions and to show participation in a specific event, such as a National Jamboree contingent or a Wood Badge course.

If you would like to see a new standard shoulder strip for our council, email your design to Council VP Mark Guyton, MGuyton@Pushmataha.Org. You never know; it may become the strip worn by scouts all around our council!

The patch currently pictured on our council's home page is a design that was proposed by a scouter. It is not available for purchase.
