T-1 day - not much more to say!

Wow! The last two years have passed quickly. It seems just like yesterday that I was typing in on-line registrations for Troop 55's members to attend the Jamboree. That date was actually July 1, 2008!

Now, in less than 24 hours we will begin our travels which will take us to the biggest celebration that Scouting has ever known! As we leave, we adults will turn over the leadership reins to the boy leaders. We'll become drivers and cooks for a few days. Our PLC is full of good leaders. They will do well.

Thank you all for doing a great job in getting ready. I really appreciate the commitment that I have seen from the other adult leaders (those who are going and those who are staying) to help make this event memorable for the boys. Pizza Inn in West Point will miss our business!

Parents, thank you for the sacrifices you have made for your sons. I am confident they will repay you in years to come.

See you all in the morning!

ps looks like I found something to say after all!
