Exec Corner
I would like to express my sincere appreciation for all of the volunteer work that has gone into making our Council's Fall Season such a success.  As most of you know the council is operating short of personnel and never have I seen so many volunteers so eager to step in and help.  We have been fortunate enough to have many volunteers step in and offer substantial assistance to make sure that ever Scout in our council receives the kind of program that the Pushmataha Area Council is known for providing the level of commitment that is takes to be a Chairperson of a large activity, Popcorn Kernel, Commissioner, Cope Director / Instructor, Webmaster, Trainer, Board Member, Boy Scout Leader, Cub Scout Leader is substantial.  Many of you give so unselfishly of your time and you are to be commended.
This past weekend I witnessed a large group of you get together happily and work together as a team.  Five hundred people were fed a delicious meal in just a couple of minutes more than an hour.  That was after a 6 post rotation of the same five hundred people flowed perfectly through well-manned activities.  I had the chance to walk through many of the campsites just prior to "lights out".  Everything that I heard was positive and I saw a lot of tired Cub Scouts falling asleep around their campfire with smiles on their faces.  The council's geography was represented well and none got hurt.  Not only do I applaud all of you that played a part in this successful activity, we must applaud all of the parents that took a chance with the weather and spent a most memorable weekend with their Cub Scout.

Yours in Scouting,

David Angle
