| The Robert L. Boland,
Jr., Memorial COPE Course is scheduled for the rebuilding of the high
ropes course before 2007. The
low course and tower have been upgraded this fall.
The course is 16 years old and hosts around 1,200 participants
annually. The new high course
will be built on utility poles, which should last up to 30 years. |

| The Boland family is contacting
friends of Bobby to help fund the project.
The Starkville Rotary Club is holding a special fund-raiser
for the project in October. The
OMNOVA Foundation (formerly General Tire in Columbus) has been
donating consistently in recent years. |

| Robert L. ‘Bobby’
Boland, Jr., was a captain and pilot in the US Air Force and Eagle
Scout of Troop 63 in Columbus, MS. His
life exemplified the goals that Project COPE helps instill in its
participants. They are Trust,
Communication, Leadership, Teamwork, Decision Making, Problem Solving,
Self Esteem and Fun. |
