FALL CAMPOREE - MOSSY OAK CLASSIC
NOVEMBER 3-5, 2006
Fall Camporee has come and gone.  Eleven troops of our council had a great time on the grounds of Mossy Oak, and Mossy Oak really rolled out the red carpet for our Scouts, giving away some great folding knives, Mossy Oak camo gear, LaCrosse boots, t-shirts, and other things guys love.  Two lucky Scouts took home $100 winning tickets from the Popcorn Extravaganza, courtesy of our Council and Trails' End.

The dessert competition was a blast. Sylvia Byrd, John Byrd, and Estelle Wilson judges 2 entries in two divisions (Boy Scout and Scoutmaster).  The entries ranged from cobblers to cheesecake to baklava.  The winning unit in each division took home a new, BSA-embossed Lodge Dutch Oven.

Campfire Saturday night was hosted by Troop 45. SPL Chris Koehn was Master Of Ceremonies for the festivities.

During Sunday morning chapel, Asst. Scoutmaster John Herring of Troop 14 led the assembly in song, and Scoutmaster Gary Windham of Troop 14 brought the message.

Commissioner Brian Wells, with his staff of Sam Graves, Ed Kuykendal, Mark Guyton, and David Angle, did a great job of putting on a fun and interesting Camporee.
